The Program of “The Diagnosis, Treatment and Intervention Strategies of Major Fungal Diseases” by our Laboratory Wins 2015 National Award for Science and Technology

On January 8th, 2016, the National Award for Science and Technology Conference was grandly held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Chinese President Xi Jinping and other Chinese party and state leaders presented awards to the winners.

The Program of “The Diagnosis, Treatment and Intervention Strategies of Major Fungal Diseases”, by the team of Academician Liao Wanqing and Prof. Pan Weihua from Shanghai Key Laboratory of Molecular Medical Mycology, won the 2nd of Prize National Science and Technology Progress Award.

Academician Liao’s team has been working for more than 30 years in medical mycology and taking the global lead in the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of major mycoses, including cryptococcosis, candidiasis and aspergillosis.
